Job Description:
Originally established as a retail business in Liverpool, Oak Tyres quickly identified the need for an independent tyre wholesale business in the UK. In response, the company transformed its business model to meet this growing demand.
Today, Oak Tyres is one of the UK’s largest independent tyre wholesalers, offering an extensive portfolio of exclusive brands such as Davanti, Landsail, Evergreen, Delinte, Linglong and Envoy.
The company is modern and dynamic with a strong focus on providing exceptional levels of customer service and value to the tyre trade.
Responsibilities would include:
· Multi-drop delivery driving.
· Order picking from a large warehouse when required.
· Driving a 3.5t LWB vehicle to complete up to 50 delivery drops per delivery run.
· Scrap collection.
· Planning delivery routes and completing runs in a timely manner.
· Cash handling and paperwork management.
· Keeping vans clean and in good condition.
· Adhering to company policies.
· Providing an excellent face-to-face customer service.

You must be organised and committed to operating in this physically demanding role at a very fast pace.
Days and Hours:
45.5 hours per week. You may be required to work beyond the normal business hours, in which case you would receive time in lieu.
Monday- 6am to 3pm
Tuesday- 3am to 12pm
Thursday- 3am to 12pm
Saturday- 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota basis 6am – 9am
Tuesday and Thursdays are over- night stays which will be based in the London area. Wednesday and Friday will be travel home days. A capped allowance will be provided for over-night stay plus a capped amount on food and drink expenses. A minimum of 12 hours rest is required before driving back home.
Requirements and conditions:
· Employee must be reliable and have good attendance and punctuality records.
· Proof of right to work in the U.K.
· Clean full U.K driver’s licence is preferred (but we would consider candidates with endorsements depending on the number incurred and the nature of the offences committed.) No DR or IN convictions will be accepted due to insurance purposes.
· Hardworking and a flexible, can-do attitude.
· The company conducts regular drug and alcohol testing, which can include pre-employment testing.
All successful candidates will be required to undergo background checks
