We’re on the hunt for a HGV Class 2 Driver to drive our partner business' DAF LF 7.5 tonne truck (manual) full time. This is one of the most important roles within our business; and we're looking for someone with commitment, drive and ambition that isn't looking for a normal 9-5.
The role will include delivering parcels to Amazon Fulfilment Centres across the UK, whilst supporting with loading, unloading and ensuring delivery manifests are signed and accurate. Alongside this, you will also be working on other delivery jobs within the business.
The role is based at our Craner & Kirkman unit on Solomon Road in Ilkeston, replacing a driver that has given years of service. Working hours vary, but you should at the minimum expect to be working 9-5 Monday to Friday, and be keen and willing to do overtime. On average you will be doing 2-4 drops a day at Amazon FC's around the country, returning to base throughout the day to collect more pallets.
You must be over 25 and have held you Class 2 licence for at least two years, your CPC card must be up to date and have a valid DQC.
Responsibilities:
- Driving our 7.5 tonne MANUAL DAF LF truck
- Loading and unloading pallets
- Ensuring accurate delivery manifests are signed and stamped
- Reporting on delays and timings with deliveries
- Ensuring the vehicles remain clean and tidy at all times
- Fuelling the vehicle with a company fuel card and ad-blue
You are required to do a walk around check at the start of each day, and provide management with regular updates on the maintenance and repairs needed on the vehicle. You will be required to take the vehicle for its 6-weekly PMI inspections and other servicing.
You should have a clean driving licence (no more than 3 pointse. As we look to grow our business, we may be moving away from vans into HGV operations over the next 12 months.

We will be holding interviews asap and are looking at a start date of Monday 22nd June. Pay is monthly in line with our standard pay periods.
