Job Summary
We are seeking a self-employed Plasterer to undertake specialised plastering work on various construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set in plastering, alongside experience in related trades. This role offers the flexibility of self-employment, allowing you to manage your own schedule while delivering high-quality craftsmanship across diverse sites. Applicants must be capable of working independently, adhering to safety standards, and providing professional results that meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents.
- Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth finishes on walls and ceilings.
- Fabricate and shape plaster components as required for specialised applications.
- Repair or replace damaged plasterwork, ensuring seamless integration with existing surfaces.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute precise work.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, masons, or electricians when necessary on joint projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage your own workload efficiently to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plastering with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment relevant to plastering and related trades.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and the ability to implement them effectively on-site.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to work independently as a self-employed professional.
Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day
