The Role:
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for practical DT lessons (including woodwork, metalwork, and plastics).
- Maintain workshop machinery, hand tools, and CAD/CAM equipment to a high standard.
- Support the Design & Technology teachers and students during busy practical lessons.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety guidelines, including COSHH regulations and risk assessments.
- Monitor stock levels and keep the prep rooms clean, organized, and safe.
What You Need:
- Proven experience working as a DT Technician or Design & Technology Technician within a UK secondary school environment.
- Strong knowledge of workshop machinery maintenance and health & safety standards.
- A hands-on, proactive attitude with the ability to hit the ground running immediately.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to process one quickly).
