About the Role:
Glasgow is known for its strong business community, creative energy, and steady commercial growth, and at Signature Bookwriting Services, we bring that same organised and detail focused approach to publishing support. We help authors, writers, and business clients manage documents, editorial updates, project timelines, client communication, and daily publishing coordination with accuracy and care.
We are looking for a Publishing Support Coordinator who can support day to day publishing activity and help keep communication clear between clients, writers, editors, and internal teams. You are not just tracking documents or sending updates; you are helping coordinate publishing tasks, organise project records, follow up on missing information, and make sure client work moves forward smoothly.
You will work closely with editorial support, client services, content operations, and administration teams to make sure files are updated, deadlines are visible, and publishing related tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment: Our Glasgow office provides a practical and supportive workplace where clear communication, accuracy, and teamwork matter every day.
Organised Publishing Support: We believe smooth publishing work comes from accurate records, clear timelines, and consistent follow up. Your work will help keep projects structured and dependable.
Client Focus: We support clients who rely on professional communication, careful document handling, and timely updates. You will help maintain a positive and reliable client experience throughout the publishing process.
Growth: This role is suitable for someone who wants to build a stable career in publishing support, editorial coordination, client services, content operations, or office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Publishing Coordination: Assist with document tracking, project updates, client requests, editorial follow ups, and routine publishing related administration.
Document Management: Maintain accurate project files, manuscript records, revision notes, content trackers, client details, and internal publishing documents.
Client Communication: Respond professionally to client emails and calls, provide clear updates, request missing information, and escalate complex queries when required.
Editorial Team Support: Work with writers, editors, content teams, and administration staff to share updates, confirm requirements, and keep tasks moving.
Process Follow Up: Monitor pending revisions, missing documents, client approvals, project updates, and workflow issues to make sure tasks are completed properly.
Reporting: Prepare simple project summaries, publishing updates, document logs, and follow up notes for supervisors or management.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in publishing support, editorial administration, content coordination, client services, office administration, or business support is preferred.
Organisation: You can manage multiple projects, update records accurately, and follow publishing support processes carefully.
Communication Skills: You can write clear emails, speak professionally, and coordinate confidently with clients, writers, editors, and colleagues.
Attention to Detail: You notice missing information, document errors, version issues, and follow up gaps before they become bigger problems.
Tooling: You are comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, shared files, calendars, document folders, and basic project tracking tools.
Mindset: You are dependable, practical, and calm under pressure. You know how to prioritise tasks, follow up properly, and keep publishing support moving.
