Role Overview
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable teacher to join our magical babyballet® family.
As a babyballet® Teacher, you will deliver fun, engaging and structured dance classes to babies and young children, helping them build confidence, coordination and a lifelong love of movement.
This is a rewarding role for someone who loves working with children and wants to be part of a supportive, creative and inspiring environment.
Working Hours
We are currently looking for someone available at the following times however, we'd be interested to hear from you if you are only available for some of the sessions:
- Friday (Denstone): 09:00 – 11:00
- Saturday (Penkhull): 08:30 – 11:30
- Sunday (Denstone): 09:20 – 11:20
- Monday (Penkhull): 09:15 – 11:15
Key ResponsibilitiesClass Delivery
- Deliver babyballet® classes following the official syllabus and training
- Create a fun, nurturing and engaging class environment
- Use music, props and storytelling to bring each class to life
- Encourage every child to feel confident, included and supported
Child Development & Engagement
- Support early years development through creative movement
- Adapt teaching to suit different ages and abilities
- Promote positive behaviour in line with babyballet® values
Health & Safety
- Deliver classes safely and in line with babyballet® policies
- Carry a First Aid kit and Accident Book to all classes
- Check venues are safe before classes (e.g. clear exits, safe setup)
- Ensure parents/carers remain present during sessions
Customer Experience
- Build strong, positive relationships with families
- Create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both children and adults
- Represent the babyballet® brand with professionalism and warmth
Class Administration
- Take registers and manage attendance
- Assist with class setup and pack-down
- Distribute stickers, certificates and class materials
Person Specification - Essential
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised and professional
- Ability to learn and deliver a set class structure
Desirable
- Dance, performing arts or movement experience
- Experience working with children (teaching, childcare, coaching)
- Understanding of early years development
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
- Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete training)
- Safeguarding training (preferred)
- Public Liability Insurance (required for self-employed role)
