The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Operational Assistant to join our busy Birmingham Operations office, with a yearly salary of up to £26,500, depending on experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards of accuracy, organisation, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience supporting multiple departments simultaneously, confidently managing varied administrative and operational responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our jewellery operations, working across dispatch, inventory management, repairs coordination, and general jewellery administration.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as an Operational Assistant at Neve Jewels will include, but not be limited to:
- Processing and dispatching domestic and international orders by generating shipping labels
- Packing orders
- Maintaining stock records and shipping equipment
- Assisting with other areas of dispatch as and when needed
- Receive, pack, count and record stock from manufacturing and suppliers for inventory control
- Supporting with stock takes as required
- Uploading and updating product information in internal systems
- Transporting items between various locations and suppliers
- Logging repair items accurately upon arrival and tracking repairs from intake through to return dispatch
- Coordinating with in-house jewellers or external workshops
- General office duties
- Coordinate with regional offices for stock transfers
- Sending products for hallmarking
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail throughout all work
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative office environment
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Operational Assistant or dispatch/inventory-related experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for quality
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Experience handling high-value goods (jewellery experience preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a multi-department operational or administrative role
- Confident using internal systems, spreadsheets, and shipping platforms
- A reliable, trustworthy individual with a strong sense of responsibility
