Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and experienced PCV Drivers to join our growing team operating our expanding FlixBus express network throughout the UK. This role involves operating scheduled express services nationwide, ensuring safe, professional and punctual operation at all times while delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have previous PCV driving experience, a professional attitude and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all driving duties as allocated
- Operate express services safely and professionally throughout the UK
- Ensure sufficient fuel is in the vehicle for duties allocated
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards of the vehicle at all times
- Complete daily defect reporting in line with walk-round check procedures for every vehicle driven
- Maintain accurate tachograph records for all duties carried out
- Ensure all duty and payroll records are completed accurately
- Conduct pre-service and post-service vehicle inspections
- Communicate effectively with Operations, Supervisors and Engineering regarding any issues or delays
- Adhere to all road traffic legislation, drivers’ hours regulations and company procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times
Experience & Requirements
- Valid PCV Licence (Category D)
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Previous coach or bus driving experience preferred
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Mechanical awareness advantageous for identifying defects and reporting issues appropriately
Pay & Location
- Rates of pay from £16.00 per hour
- Various shift patterns available
- Operating from our Birmingham depot
Services currently operate to destinations including Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, London Victoria, Luton Airport, Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport, with further expansion planned
