Production Operative, Brassington Matlock
A local, world-leading manufacturer based in the heart of Derbyshire are looking for a Production Operative to join their established team. Founded in the 1960's, this company supplies ceramic, glass and refractory industries. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be part of a supportive team in a fast-paced factory setting.
A Forklift Counterbalance Licence would be highly desirable. This is a temporary ongoing position, with possible permanent contracts for the right candidates. This role offers on the job training, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks on the production line.
Due to site location (Brassington, Derbyshire), own transport is required.
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday, rota based
- 6am – 2:30pm / 2pm – 10:30pm
- Rotating shifts
Pay:
- £12.71 per hour – Days
- £14.26 per hour – Afters

Duties:
- As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out production line tasks, such as weighing, packaging, and labelling products, operating machinery, and performing quality checks
- You will follow standard operating procedures to ensure the efficient and safe production of goods
Experience:
- Due to site location (Brassington, Derbyshire), own transport is required.
- Applicants must be available to work on a shift rotation basis, days & afternoons
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be highly desirable.
- Due to some aspects of the role, you will be required to lift completed bags and stack pallets by hand.
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
