Atlas Contract Furniture are looking for an experience Upholstery Machinist to join our friendly team.
At Atlas, we design and manufacture quality, bespoke and long lasting contract furniture for bars, pubs, clubs, universities and restaurants in the UK and across Europe.
You will be joining a team of highly motivated individuals who ensure the Atlas high standards are maintained at all times.
This is a permanent position. Hours worked are 40 hours per week, either 7.30am to 4.00pm or 8.30am to 5.00pm
You will be responsible for:
- Cutting out fabric to make components
- Sewing Cushions
- Tacking, as and when required, to keep in line with schedules
- Adding Trimmings such as Piping, Fringing and Buttons
- Preparing Patterns and Templates
- Working to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining high quality
We are looking for these skills:
- Extensive sewing experience within a similar background essential
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Upholstery experience desirable, including cutting, tacking and pattern matching
- Ability to maintain superior quality and pace
- Happy to work in a team
- Good knowledge of Soft Covers and Leathers
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Contract length: 6 months
