Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialised instruction and support to children with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities. Duties
- Develop and implement personalised lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, ensuring alignment with educational standards and objectives.
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions across a range of subjects, adapting methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Support students with disabilities by providing specialised assistance, encouragement, and behavioural management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
- Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and social development among pupils.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student abilities and track developmental milestones regularly.
- Support toddlers' care routines where applicable, including basic supervision and educational activities suited for early learners.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and behavioural observations in compliance with school policies.
Experience
- Prior experience working within special education settings or with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to develop customised educational programmes that meet diverse learner needs.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support to children is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and toddler care practices is beneficial.
- A recognised qualification in special education or teaching is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will also be considered. Pay: £175.00-£221.50 per day
