We are seeking an exceptional and committed Habilitation Specialist (Trainee) to play a vital role in improving the lives, independence and wellbeing of children and young people with vision impairment across the Isle of Man. This unique and rewarding position involves supporting individuals aged 025 to develop essential life, mobility and independence skills through personalised programmes delivered in home, school and community settings. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with families, education staff and health professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced practitioner passionate about supporting children and young people with vision impairment, who is ready to undertake a fully supported two-year Specialist Qualification in Habilitation. You will gradually build a caseload, develop your professional expertise, and make a lasting difference through high-quality, child-centred practice. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to inclusion, alongside a willingness to learn, travel and grow within a specialist field.
