Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly MIG and Pulse welding. The successful applicant will contribute to the production of high-quality Livestock and Bale trailers, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Perform MIG welding and other welding processes as required, ensuring strong, clean welds
- Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment to shape, cut, and assemble materials
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding and <LOCATION> welding techniques
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Strong understanding of fabrication principles and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Knowledge of assembly procedures for metal structures or components
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
