Calling All Musical Theatre Dance Teachers
Stage & Screen Academy—a vibrant performing arts school based at Salford City Academy—is seeking a musical theatre dance teacher who is passionate about putting on shows.
Requirements for all teachers:
- Very reliable and punctual - able to commit to the teaching period agreed
- Holds a valid enhanced DBS check
- Experience working with young performers aged 7–18 as a teacher
- Able to keep a class under control
- Able to keep children safe - Good knowledge of safeguarding
- Proficiency in teaching vocal lines and acting
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and inspiring
Desired skills:
- Previous experience working with other creatives putting on musicals
- Driving license (to be able to get to the venue easily)
- Based in Manchester
Dance teacher:
- Strong background in dance (please provide a dance showreel)
- Ability to recap choreography that has been set using videos
- Ability to create age appropriate choreography and film it for rehearsal videos
Rehearsal Details
- When: Saturdays (term time)
- Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Where: Salford City Academy, Northfleet Road, Eccles, Manchester M30 7PQ
Upcoming Productions
- Legally Blonde JR – Scheduled for 18th and 19th July 2026
Pay is £20/h dependant on experience.
£60 for the session, so approx £240 / month, so up to £2300 a year
