By opening your home and heart, you can play a vital role in keeping a child safely together with their parent.
Parents of any age can sometimes need extra support and guidance while caring for their child. As a Parent and Child foster carer, you will provide a safe and nurturing home while helping parents build their confidence and parenting skills. In some situations, you may care for the child while supporting the parent. In others, you will observe and record how the parent is managing day-to-day care. Ultimately, you will be empowering a parent and your support can help families grow stronger, giving them the best possible chance of building a positive future together.

What You Need to Get Started:
✔ Have a spare bedroom in your home suitable for a parent and their baby.
✔ Experience of supporting someone else with their child (EG; in a professional role, like a midwife or health visitor, etc or in a personal capacity like a Grandparent)
✔ Full-time availability - often there is a high level of support and monitoring which is required.
✔ A caring, patient, and supportive approach.
✔ Willingness to collaborate closely with professionals dedicated to family wellbeing.
✔ A good level of written and spoken English to contribute to assessments and keep detailed recordings.
