Position Overview – Activity Instructor (Hunters Quay Holiday village, Scotland) We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Activity Instructor to join our team at Hunters Quay Holiday Village for the Summer Holidays. You’ll deliver a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, help create masterpieces in our creative studio and serve ice cream in our golf shack. The main goal ensuring our guests enjoy unforgettable experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a wide range of activities, ensuring guests have a safe, enjoyable, and engaging experience.
- Supervise and support participants of all ages during sessions including Archery, Axe Throwing, Laser Tag, Climbing, Pottery Painting, Sand art and Teddy Bear Building.
- Maintain a positive, energetic presence that encourages participation and boosts guest confidence.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure equipment is used correctly at all times.
- Assist with the setup, organisation, and pack-down of activity areas.
- Work closely with the wider activities and leisure team to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent guest service.
- Adapt to changes in the schedule and respond to the needs of guests and the park.
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the friendly spirit of Hunters Quay and encourages guests to return.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences in a lively, activity-focused environment.
- Confident leading groups, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to run a range of activities with enthusiasm and motivation for guests of all ages.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, school holidays and peak seasonal periods.
- Experience delivering or assisting with activities—ideally in an adventure, leisure, or outdoor setting—is beneficial.
- Friendly, engaging attitude with the ability to inspire confidence in others.
- Basic first aid knowledge or willingness to undertake training.
- A genuine love for the outdoors, adventure, and active experiences.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in outdoor or adventure activity instruction (e.g., archery, climbing, zorbing) or a strong desire to train and learn.
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles.
- Training or certification in activity-specific areas (e.g., archery coaching, climbing instruction), or willingness to obtain these qualifications.
