Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Night Nurse to provide high-quality care during overnight hours. Duties
- Monitor and support children’s needs during night hours, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Administer medication and provide basic health care as required, following established protocols
- Maintain detailed records of children’s activities, health status, and any incidents that occur during the shift
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children’s wellbeing and any concerns
- Lead and supervise nursery staff or assistants on duty, providing guidance and support where necessary
- Assist with bedtime routines, including organising sleep environments and comforting children as needed
- Ensure the nursery environment remains clean, safe, and organised throughout the night shift
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or unforeseen situations with calmness and professionalism
Skills
- Proven management and leadership abilities within childcare or nursery settings
- Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education or childcare roles
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of liaising effectively with parents, colleagues, and children
- Knowledge of nursery practices, health & safety regulations, and child development principles
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
- Driving licence is desirable for transportation needs or emergency situations
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure all aspects of child safety are maintained overnight
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and wellbeing
