We are currently looking for an Agricultural Service Engineer to join the Lister Wilder family at our branch in Ashford. If you are a good all-round Engineer with a strong understanding of engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrics, or have previous experience working with agricultural (specifically tractors), or plant machinery, and are looking for your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
Much of the repair and service work is carried out on-site so a fully expensed vehicle and fuel card will be provided. This mainly mobile role means that every day is different, but you still retain the support of the base in Ashford. The majority of our work tends to be with contractors, councils, schools, golf courses and private estates within Kent and the surrounding area.
We believe in investing in our people and work in conjunction with Kubota UK who provide a structured training plan. This is generally a mix of online training and face to face at their premises in Thame, Oxfordshire.
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Overtime will be available and some on-call work will be required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong attention to detail and able to use your own initiative.
- A mechanically minded person with great problem solving skills.
- A great communicator who is customer focussed.
- Be experienced in working with machinery, ideally in the construction industry.
- Experience in servicing and maintaining agricultural or plant machinery (specifically Tractors).
