Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Larchfield Manor Residential Care Home in the Harrogate area. This vital role involves supporting our residents' daily needs and ensuring their well-being, aligning with our mission to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities, personal care, and mobility needs.
- Implement and update individual care plans tailored to each resident.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Foster a warm and respectful environment, promoting residents' independence.
- Supervise and support junior staff members, ensuring high standards of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior care or care home setting.
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature.
- Supervising or leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of care plans and health & safety regulations.
- Valid driving license is advantageous.
- IT literacy for documentation purposes is desirable.
- Commitment to providing respectful and person-centered care.
Pay: £14.20 per hour
