We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Generator Engineer to join a well-established and growing power generation business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and long-term career development.
The Role
As a Field Service Generator Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of diesel generators ranging up to 1250 KVA across a variety of commercial and industrial customer sites.
You will work on both Stage 3 and Stage 5 equipment, carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair diesel generators up to 1250 KVA
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Diagnose and repair Stage 3 and Stage 5 engines
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Maintain high health & safety standards at all times
- Provide professional customer support on-site
Requirements
- Previous experience working on diesel generators
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with generators up to 1250 KVA
- Knowledge of Stage 3 and Stage 5 engines preferred
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
