Join a well-established engineering company experiencing growth in key market sectors. We are seeking an experienced Precision Grinder / Toolmaker to become an integral member of our highly skilled team in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of manual and CNC grinding machines to manufacture precision tools and components.
- Carry out surface, cylindrical and profile grinding operations to tight tolerances.
- Work with a range of materials, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to produce precision components.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in precision grinding within a toolroom or precision engineering environment.
- Experience operating manual and/or CNC grinding machinery.
- Ability to work to close tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Ideally, have completed an apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
