Overview
We are looking to recruit an individual from the motor trade to work alongside our existing team of mechanics, welder and yard operatives.
A well-established family Plant Hire Company is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified Mechanic, preferably with experience in HGV’s but are also willing to progress an individual from the motor / car trade or from the agricultural trade.
Primarily based in New Cumnock, Ayrshire in our workshop the successful candidate would provided to assist with breakdowns and repairs on a varied fleet of Artic, rigid, HGV step frame and low bed trailer but also required to assist with repairs on a variety of plant, vans and agricultural equipment including tractors
Mobile/Onsite Mechanic duties
The successful Mobile/Onsite Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle preventative maintenance mainly defect control, as most inspections and services are carried out by our dealer partners.
Duties range from correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls, diagnostics and roadside breakdown.
Chargeable defects resulting from dealer inspections.
Qualifications Required
In order to qualify for the role, candidate will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds).
You must have experience as a trade Mechanic and be familiar with modern vehicles .

Overtime every second Saturday till 1300
Salary
Salary starting from : £15 per hour
Overtime rate: Time and a half after eight hours Monday to Friday and on Saturdays
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
