Job requirements of Engineering Machine Setter:
We are recruiting for an Engineering Machine Setter to support our Engineering and Production departments with the smooth running of factory machinery.
Shift – 4on4off, 16:30pm-5am
Day to day tasks will include:
· Technical set up of numerous machines in the production area.
· Ensure traceability readings of raw material have been completed and meet the site standard in live time.
· Perform calculations for machinery set up, which are in line with site procedures.
· Examine operation of mechanical equipment and make minor adjustments to enhance performance.
· Under the guidance of management and chargehands, ensure that each product specification is followed and any anomalies are reported immediately.
· To detect and report any equipment defects immediately to maintain efficient operation of machinery.
What you will need:
· Mechanical Engineering or experience within machinery is required.
· The ability to think fast and thrive under pressure
· To be motivated and able to use your own initiative
· Be flexible with daily working hours for handovers and occasional overtime
Pay and benefits:
· Salary: £16.82 per hour (inclusive of a £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus)
· Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions
