We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to support young people within our community. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive environment, encouraging personal development, and providing mentorship to children and teenagers. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of young people
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to children and teenagers facing various challenges
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants
- Collaborate with parents, and community organisations to support youth development
- Monitor behaviour and intervene appropriately to promote positive conduct
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and behavioural/ accident incidents
- Support children with special educational needs as required
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to young people from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting youth
- Ability to organise activities and manage behaviour constructively
- Valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment
