Organise and manage effective learning environments and resources.
Plan challenging teaching and learning objectives (within a supervisory framework) and adjust lesson/work plans as needed.
Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning using a range of assessment strategies against learning objectives.
Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports to the Teacher on pupil achievement and progress, with supporting evidence.
Systematically record pupil progress and achievement, providing evidence of the range and level of attainment.
Implement the school's behaviour policy to promote self-control and independence.
Support parental involvement in pupils' learning and contribute to/lead parent meetings, providing constructive feedback.
Administer and mark tests, and invigilate examinations.
Produce lesson plans, worksheets, and other learning materials.
Support the work of other professionals.
Adhere to school policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection, and report concerns appropriately.
Support diversity and ensure all pupils have equal access to learning and development opportunities.
Contribute to the school's overall ethos and aims.
Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals (in liaison with the Teacher) to support pupil achievement and progress.
Initiate and develop multi-agency approaches to supporting pupils, as appropriate.
Recognise and utilise own strengths and expertise to support colleagues.
Deliver out-of-school learning activities in accordance with school guidelines.
Contribute to the identification and delivery of appropriate out-of-school learning activities that consolidate and extend classroom work.
Full working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
Working knowledge and experience of implementing the national curriculum/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
Sound understanding of child development and learning processes.
Understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching.
