Salary Band - £30,000 - £34,800.
Job Type: Full Time , may be required to work from different company sites and or occasionally from home as instructed or by agreement with line manager.
Summary: The Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling the company's products or services to customers. The primary objective is to generate revenue and contribute to the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Prospecting:
· Identify and research potential customers or leads.
· Cold call or reach out to potential customers to establish contact.
· Qualify leads to determine their potential as customers.
2. Sales Presentation:
· Present the company's products or services to potential customers.
· Explain the features and benefits of the products or services.
· Address customer questions and objections.
3. Sales Negotiation:
· Negotiate successful outcome of sales where possible following company sales agreements.
· Provide pricing information and adhere to set discount for category if applicable.
· Close sales deals and obtain customer commitment.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
· Provide after-sales support and address customer inquiries or issues.
· Understand the marketing strategy and ensure customer satisfaction and seek opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
· Keep accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions through company processes.
6. Sales Targets:
· Achieve sales targets and quotas as defined by the company.
· Follow company strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
7. Product Knowledge:
· Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products or services.
· Continuously update product knowledge to effectively communicate value to customers through continual training.
8. Administrative Tasks:
· Prepare and submit sales quotes or projects.
· Handle paperwork, such as Invoice pre-liminary, Self-billing, chase-up leads, assist Manager in queries or investigations.
· Follow up on outstanding payments if necessary.
9. Team Collaboration:
· Collaborate with other sales team members and departments, such as marketing and customer service, to achieve overall company goals.
- Skills, previous experience and qualifications required.
· Must have a full UK driving license as travel between sites may be required. The ability to communicate in Welsh would be a huge avantage. Previous and proven successful sales experience is a must along with the ability to build working relationships. You must be organnised and able to work on your own initiative and have experience of sales software. A knowledge of the construction industry is also an advantage.
Customer Service oriented, with the ability to exceed the customer's expectations by always being helpful, courteous and professional.· Goal-oriented and results-driven.
The role follows regular office hours, which are typically Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. However longer hours, weekends, or irregular hours may be required during financial and or other reporting periods or when department deadlines are approaching.
