We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Stores Assistant based in Aldershot, Hampshire. This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week with an early finish every Friday.
This Warehouse Operative / Stores Assistant role offers the opportunity to join a well established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Working across stores, warehouse operations, stock control, and production support, you will play an important role in ensuring materials, compounds, and components are available to support manufacturing operations. This is a varied and hands on position that combines warehouse duties, forklift operation, stock management, and materials preparation.
The Warehouse Operative / Stores Assistant role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, inspecting, and dispatching stock in line with company procedures
- Loading and unloading deliveries and collections
- Maintaining accurate stock records and electronic documentation
- Issuing consumables and non stock items
- Operating company vehicles for collections and deliveries
- Supporting recycling and waste management processes
- Preparing and issuing materials for production requirements
- Booking in raw material deliveries
- Carrying out material testing and stock checks
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and stock levels
- Raising reports for non conforming materials when required
- Controlling and issuing materials to support production schedules
- Ensuring machinery and work areas are clean, organised, and safe
Requirements
- Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics, manufacturing, or materials handling environment
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Flexible approach to working hours when required
- Experience using ERP systems or stock management systems would be advantageous

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.30pm
- Friday 7.00am to 12.00pm
- 40 hours per week
