Role: Catering Assistant/Chef/Bar Staff

Hours: 37 per week
Shifts: Ranging from 05:30 – 23:30 depending on time required and
Length of Contract: 9 months the client may extend if they require you for longer
Location: Marham, (Kings Lynn) PE33 9NP

Job Purpose
To support the delivery of high-quality food, hospitality, and bar services across multiple catering and hospitality environments. The role involves preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining excellent customer service standards, supporting events and functions, and ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Work flexible shift patterns across daily food service operations, daytime and evening functions, bar services, and support hospitality activities where required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and service partners to ensure catering and hospitality services are delivered in line with company procedures and industry standards.
- Operate in accordance with all relevant legislation, workplace procedures, and operational instructions.
- Carry out accurate cash handling processes and support loss prevention and financial controls.
- Assist with stock control activities, including stock checks, rotation, and inventory procedures.
- Complete basic IT tasks including data entry and operational systems updates.
- Support routine administrative duties associated with catering and hospitality operations.
- Maintain professional standards of presentation, uniform, and personal hygiene at all times.
- Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn and used correctly.
- Follow all safe systems of work and comply with UK food safety, health and safety legislation, company policies, and risk assessment procedures.
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service, hospitality, and guest experience.
- Maintain required job competencies, training requirements, and performance standards.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, security awareness, and timely reporting of incidents or concerns.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, kitchen, food service, or bar operations preferred
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts and busy service periods
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic IT and administrative capability
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Happy to work a variety of shift
