This role is ideal for an experienced CNC setter/operator who takes pride in producing precision components, understands quality requirements, and wants to be part of a company growing into aerospace work. You will play an important role in helping us develop our machining capability while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
The Role:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls
- Setting and running 5-axis machining centres
- Loading programs and making offset adjustments
- Producing components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Self-inspection using micrometers, verniers and gauges
- Ensuring parts meet quality and AS9100 standards
- Working efficiently to achieve production targets
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting continuous improvement and best machining practices
Skills:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator)
- Experience running CNC machining centres with Fanuc controls
- Strong knowledge or experience of 5-axis machining (essential)
- Knowledge of Fusion 360 CAM software (advantageous)
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience machining precision components
- Confident with inspection equipment
- Good understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Salary: £17ph - £19ph (depending on experience)
Shifts: This is a full-time permanent position working 39 hours per week with Overtime available.
