Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Helping with household chores including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Administering medication as per care plans and recording all relevant information accurately
- Providing companionship to reduce loneliness and promote mental well-being
- Assisting with shopping and accompanying clients to appointments or outings
- Maintaining detailed records of care provided in accordance with organisational policies
- Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure consistent support
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a care home environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred for travelling between clients’ homes
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Basic IT skills for recording data and updating electronic records
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
