Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to residents in a care home setting during overnight hours. Duties
- Monitor residents' conditions overnight, responding promptly to their needs and emergencies
- Assist with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility, and hygiene in accordance with care plans
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ wellbeing and any incidents that occur during the shift
- Ensure the safety and security of the premises by conducting regular checks and reporting any concerns
- Support residents with activities that promote comfort and emotional well-being
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families regarding care requirements and updates
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures
- Use IT systems to update care records and document relevant information accurately
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits or errands
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records and documentation
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards residents’ needs
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for vulnerable individuals

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
