Job role: Mobile Plant Fitter – Plant & Machinery
Location: Birmingham
Working hours: 08:00 - 16:30 - Monday - Friday
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000
Contract Type: Full time / Permanent
I am working closely with a leading Plant and Machinery manufacturer with nationwide coverage. At this time, they are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their team. You’ll be out on the road diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and servicing construction and industrial machinery — keeping my clients customers up and running with minimal downtime.
What You’ll Do as a Mobile Plant Fitter
- Diagnose, service, and repair plant and heavy machinery on customer sites.
- Deliver a first-time fix wherever possible.
- Build strong relationships with customers and represent the company professionally.
- Keep accurate job records using a laptop or PDA.
- Work safely and to the highest standards at all times.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum NVQ Level 2+ in Plant Engineering, Servicing, or Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter
- Solid experience with hydraulics, transmissions, axles, and electrics.
- Good mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Confidence working independently in the field.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
