Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Level 1 Tutor and Assessor to deliver high-quality training and assessment in construction trades. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding learners through practical and theoretical aspects of construction, ensuring they develop essential skills and knowledge. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons covering core construction skills, including plumbing and general building practices
- Assess learners’ progress through practical demonstrations and written assessments
- Develop customised learning plans tailored to individual learner needs
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes
- Provide constructive feedback to support learners’ development
- Ensure compliance with relevant training standards and health & safety regulations
- Organise training sessions, workshops, and assessments efficiently
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction trades, particularly plumbing, with relevant qualifications
- Strong teaching abilities with excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to assess practical skills and theoretical knowledge effectively
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple learners and administrative tasks
- Proficiency in IT tools for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication
- Excellent organisational skills to plan sessions and track learner progress
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Prior experience as a tutor or assessor is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
Pay: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
