Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN-school Teaching Assistants to join our team in Bristol. This full-time role is integral to supporting a small cohort of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, aligning with our school's mission to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and empowering environment for all learners. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised support, ensuring each student’s individual needs are met within a respectful and caring setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of bespoke learning programmes tailored to students with SEMH, following personalised plans and educational objectives outlined by the teaching team.
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, consistent with the school's values and approach.
- Provide 1:1 support to students as required, ensuring their safety, engagement, and participation in all aspects of the educational environment.
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills through structured activities and daily interactions. - Assist in creating a supportive classroom environment that promotes inclusion, respect, and individualised learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor student progress, report on behavioural and emotional developments, and adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Support students during break times, lunchtimes, and other unstructured periods to foster social interaction and emotional regulation.
- Contribute to maintaining a calm, positive, and safe environment in line with the school’s commitment to wellbeing and pupil-centred practice.
