Alexander Southwell Mortgages is a small, ambitious mortgage brokerage with a straightforward goal. To give clients genuinely good advice and a service they'll remember. We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced self-employed broker to grow with us.
This isn't a corporate environment. You'll have real autonomy, direct access to the principals, and none of the bureaucracy that comes with larger firms.
The Role
You'll be providing mortgage and protection advice to clients, working remotely and managing your own diary. Some leads will come from us, but being able to generate and develop your own client base is just as important, and we'd expect that to be a core part of how you work.
You'll be responsible for:
Advising clients on mortgage and protection solutions suited to their circumstances Building and maintaining your own pipeline of clients alongside firm-provided leads Gathering client information, conducting research, and making suitable, compliant recommendations Handling your own documentation accurately and on time Keeping up with product, market, and regulatory changes Meeting FCA competency requirements and the firm's T&C scheme Completing CPD to keep your knowledge sharp
What We're Looking For
CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) Proven experience in a mortgage advisory role A self-starter who can generate their own business — this is essential Strong client relationship skills Well-organised, with the discipline to work independently Good working knowledge of the mortgage and protection market Professional, ethical, and commercially minded
