Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Parent and Baby Qualified Swimming Instructor to join our vibrant aquatic education team. In this role, you will inspire confidence and joy in infants, toddlers, and their caregivers through engaging, safe, and professionally delivered swimming lessons. Your expertise will help foster early water safety skills, promote physical development, and create memorable experiences for families. Duties
- Lead engaging swimming classes specifically designed for parents with babies and young children, ensuring a fun and safe learning environment
- Demonstrate proper water safety techniques and teach foundational swimming skills tailored to infants and toddlers
- Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing guidance on water confidence and safety at home
- Monitor each child's progress closely, offering personalized feedback and encouragement to build their confidence in the water
- Maintain high standards of health, hygiene, and safety throughout all lessons in accordance with industry regulations
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative lesson plans that cater to different age groups and skill levels
- Keep detailed records of attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns during classes
Requirements
- Valid Parent and Baby Swimming Instructor certification or equivalent qualification from a recognized organization
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in a teaching or childcare setting
- Lifeguard or Safety Award is a must to ensure comprehensive safety coverage during lessons
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children and their caregivers
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both children and parents
- Ability to demonstrate swimming proficiency in styles such as swimming strokes or martial arts-based water skills
- Experience working in health clubs, gyms, or child-focused activity centers is preferred
