Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef / Waiter / Waitress to join our dynamic team. This versatile role involves supporting kitchen operations as well as delivering excellent customer service in a lively restaurant environment. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs, ensuring dishes are prepared to specifications.
- Support meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering meals with professionalism.
- Clear tables promptly and assist in setting up dining areas for service.
- Ensure all food safety standards are observed during food handling and storage.
- Support the team during busy periods by providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with general cleaning duties within the restaurant.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting will be considered an asset.
