Job Description:
Our client, a subcontractor who deliver high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector are seeking an experienced Carpenter with multi-trade skills to join their voids team.
This will involve working in domestic properties across Norwich predominantly but will go further afield in Norfolk when required.
The role: Carpenter / Multi-Trade.
Working in void and occupied domestic properties, This will be installing kitchens and carrying out general reactive carpentry while offering a high standard of customer service.
Role requirements
The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time served whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.
Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
Managing van stock effectively.
Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.
Knowledge and Experience
Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.
Multi Trade experience
Excellent customer service skills as will be working in tenanted properties
Details/Salary
Pay: £37,000 - £39,000 per annum after 13 weeks with van and fuel card. Own van preferred for first 13 weeks. £26 an hour CIS pay for first 13 weeks. PAYE options available but will change rate.
Hours 8am - 5pm and hour unpaid lunch.
Temporary to permanent after 13 weeks from agency to the client
Own van and tools required, however at 13 weeks a van and fuel card will be provided.
Asbestos awareness course provided by ourselves. DBS will be required from the client.
3 points only (ideally) on Driving Licence. Uniform and PDA provided. 24 days holiday plus bank holidays when PAYE.
