Waste Management Operative
We are recruiting for an experienced Waste Management Operative to work for our client based near Whetstone, Leicestershire.
THE DUTIES:
- Operating plant machinery such as loading shovels, telehandlers, and other yard equipment.
- Safely moving, loading, and processing waste materials.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard‑free working environment.
- Following site instructions and supporting daily operational targets.
- Working effectively as part of a busy yard team.
- Carrying out manual handling tasks, including lifting, sorting, and moving waste streams.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Previous experience using loading shovels, telehandlers, or similar plant machinery (tickets preferred but not essential).
- Must be physically fit — capable of manual handling and working on your feet throughout the shift.
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety requirements.
- Flexible approach to tasks and able to adapt to changing operational needs.
- Must be available to start immediately.
THE HOURS:
This is a Temp – Perm role.
41.5 hours per week.
Monday – Friday, starting between 6am–7am depending on site requirements.
THE PAY:
You will earn an hourly rate of £14.50 per hour
