Leisure Assistant

Are you passionate about customer service and maintaining high-quality leisure facilities?
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Leisure Assistant to join our friendly resort team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest services and ensuring the smooth operation of leisure activities.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll help ensure our guests enjoy safe, clean, and well-maintained leisure facilities, including our swimming pool, hot tubs, sauna, and steam room.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam facilities.
- Conducting daily water testing and recording results.
- Assisting with pool plant operation and monitoring.
- Ensuring leisure areas are clean, safe, and guest-ready.
- Delivering excellent customer service to holiday guests.
- Supporting health and safety compliance across the leisure complex.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide information about available leisure activities and facilities
- Assist in organising and supervising recreational programmes and events
- Ensure all leisure areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
- Support guests with enquiries, bookings, and equipment rentals as required
- Monitor activity areas to ensure safety protocols are followed and address any issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a high standard of guest service and maximise guest enjoyment
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of events or activities, ensuring all equipment is handled safely and correctly
Requirements
- Previous experience in management, hospitality, or guest services is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and reliable approach to work, with flexibility to work during peak times, including weekends or evenings if required
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in providing outstanding guest experiences
Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications
- Pool Plant Operator Qualification.
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- First Aid Certification.
Working Pattern
This position requires availability on our key guest changeover days:
Additional hours may be available throughout the week, with flexible working arrangements to suit business needs.
