Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved effectively
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during vehicle servicing
- Assist with ordering parts and managing stock levels as required
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose faults accurately
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and pneumatic tools is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and explain technical issues clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
