Opus Vitae are recruiting for a Cast Iron Pattern Maker to join a fantastic business based in Telford. Our client are expanding & looking for additional, experienced candidates to join the team.
Hours are 40 a week, covering Monday to Thursday working week
Salary - £35,000
The Role
- Manufacture new patterns & core boxes from engineering drawings, CAD Data & existing components
- Maintain, repair & modify pattern & core tooling to meet production & quality requirements
- Select appropriate pattern materials
- Inspection of tooling for accurancy, durability & moulding suitability
- Identify opportunities for tooling, improvement & process efficiency
Requirements / Experience
- Pattern making hand tools & machinery
- Wood, metal, resin & composite pattern construction
- Interpretation of engineering drawings & CAD data
- Proven experience within a cast iron or ferrous environment
- Dimensional inspection techniques
