Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a drive for excellence, and a commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education. This role involves managing staff, communicating effectively with parents, and ensuring a nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in our care, by providing a safe, clean, stimulating learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community
- Support the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery
- Act as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead and ensure Safeguarding policies are adhered to
- Lead within a room.
- Lead our staff team by example, inspiring fun, inspirational and educational play, creating activities that support children at all stages of learning
- Identify areas in the curriculum delivery for improvement
- Work with other professionals, such as SENCOs, EYFS advisors, and health professionals when required.
- Assist in the recruitment, support, induction, training and appraising of staff to ensure high quality
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification, equivalent or above (Essential)
- 2 years+ experience in early childhood education (Essential)
- 2 years+ experience in a management level position (Desirable)
Conditions of Job Offer:
