About the Role
We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to join a supportive primary school team in Towcester.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and keen to gain broad classroom experience. You will play a key part in supporting teaching and learning across the school by covering PPA time, stepping in during teacher absences, and delivering targeted small group interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality PPA cover lessons across a range of primary year groups
- Provide class cover for teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning
- Plan and deliver small group interventions to support pupil progress in core subjects
- Support classroom teachers with learning activities and behaviour management
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff and leadership to support pupil outcomes
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about working with primary-aged children
- Confident leading groups and delivering pre-planned lessons
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
- A strong communicator and effective team player
- Calm under pressure and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Ideally experienced in schools, childcare, tutoring, youth work, or similar settings
Formal teaching qualifications are not required, but a commitment to professional development is essential. This role may suit someone considering a future career in teaching.
