Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. This role involves transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including any necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist in the warehouse when not on delivery duties, contributing to stock management and organisation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated.
- Experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
