Job Summary.
Junior Workshop Assistant needed for 10-30 hours per week on an hourly paid basis in London, hiring as soon as possible.
Color & Co Ltd. is a London based subsidiary of a Danish family-owned company. We produce roller blinds made from bamboo, jute and paper and are passionate about sustainability and Scandinavian design.
We are looking for a friendly individual to join our team and help with day-to-day tasks in the workshop and office. This is a varied entry-level role where you will gain practical skills and experience in a growing business.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm and a minimum of 10 hours per week, with additional hours available up to 30 hours during busy periods and school/college holidays. The role is located in our production, workshop and showroom facility in NW10 6RB. As an entry level position the hourly rate will be £10 per hour. This role will require you to be on your feet all day.
Duties
- Packing customer orders
- Finding blinds and components for orders
- Making bamboo and jute samples
- Counting stock
- Restocking products in the workshop
- Cutting down cardboard
- Miscellaneous cleaning
- Watering plants
- Odd jobs
About you:
You are an energetic and reliable person by nature and have a willingness to learn in new environments; you are not afraid to help take initiative where needed. You can work quickly, efficiently and to strict timelines. You are a team-player and enjoy doing tasks independently. It is important that you speak and write English.
This role is an ideal first job for a school or college leaver looking to gain experience in a growing business where training will be provided.
We are looking for someone interested in a possible long-term position, although we would also consider applicants seeking summer work.
