Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a multi Drop Van driver. This role involves operating commercial vehicles, delivering goods, and supporting warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. Prior experience in delivery driving and warehouse work is highly desirable, along with strong organisational skills and physical endurance.
Duties
- Safely operate <PERSON> vehicles, including lorries or vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness
- Deliver goods to various locations efficiently and punctually, maintaining accurate delivery records
- Assist with loading and unloading items, involving heavy lifting when necessary
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Support warehouse activities such as stock organisation, inventory checks, and general maintenance tasks
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company policies and customer expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience working within warehouses or logistics environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual handling tasks
