Job Summary
As a Breakfast and After School Club Practitioner, working during school term times, you will support the smooth running of our morning provision. Your role will involve preparing and serving breakfast and after school club snacks, supervising children in a safe and stimulating environment, and engaging them in activities to start their day positively or to help them unwind after school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support children attending the breakfast and after school clubs.
- Prepare and serve breakfast and after school snacks, ensuring dietary needs and hygiene standards are met.
- Encourage positive behaviour and interactions among children.
- Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities and games.
- Ensure the breakfast and after school clubs environments are safe, welcoming, and tidy.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Skills & Qualities:
- A genuine interest in working with children and helping them thrive.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a responsible attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
This role involves a split shift working pattern. Breakfast - 07.30 - 09.00 am and After School Club 14.30 - 18.00 pm.
The start date for this role is September 2026
This role is offered on a permanent basis. It is therefore not suitable for individuals who may be looking for employment around university studies.
