Brabyns Nursery is looking for a highly organised, proactive and professional Admissions & Office Administrator to join our warm and welcoming team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, child-centred environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional administration and outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the nursery, being the first point of contact for many of our families and helping to create a positive and professional first impression of Brabyns Nursery.
We are looking for someone who is confident, friendly and highly efficient, with the ability to manage a varied workload that combines admissions coordination, office administration, and support for marketing and nursery communications.

Brabyns Nursery is a well-established, nurturing early years setting in Marple, providing high-quality care and education for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
We are passionate about creating a safe, stimulating and happy environment where children can explore, discover and grow through play-based learning and rich early years experiences. Every child is supported as an individual, with learning tailored to their unique needs, interests and strengths.

As our Admissions & Office Administrator, you will be at the heart of the nursery’s day-to-day operations. You will:
- Be the first point of contact for prospective and current families, providing a warm, professional and welcoming experience
- Manage enquiries, admissions and enrolments from initial contact through to placement
- Coordinate nursery tours, visits and admissions meetings
- Maintain accurate admissions records, waiting lists and nursery systems
- Provide high-quality front-of-house and general office support
- Manage calls, emails, correspondence, deliveries and daily administrative tasks
- Support the creation and distribution of parent communications and updates
- Maintain accurate child, family and staff records, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support HR administration, including staff records and safeguarding compliance
- Assist with Single Central Record (SCR) maintenance and safer recruitment processes
- Help coordinate marketing activity, including social media, website updates and promotional content
- Support open events and initiatives to promote the nursery within the local community
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident, friendly and professional when dealing with families and visitors
- Experienced in administration, admissions, office coordination or a similar role
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Calm, proactive and solution-focused under pressure
- Trustworthy, discreet and confident handling confidential information
Experience within an education or childcare setting, or with nursery/school systems and marketing/social media, would be an advantage but is not essential.
