Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Staff Nurses with 12 months post registration experience to join our team at a newly built independent mental health hospital based in Rhyl North Wales . We are currently embarking a new dynamic phase of our commissioning journey and need experienced nurses to help shape our services from the ground up .

Duties
- Deliver comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualised care plans
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to any changes in behaviour or condition
- Administer medication accurately and ensure proper documentation in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Support patients with daily activities, promoting independence and recovery
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimise patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and managing risk effectively
- Provide emotional support and counselling to patients experiencing mental health challenges
- Keep detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress in compliance with legal and organisational standards
Experience
- Proven 12 months experience as a Mental Health Nurse/ Learning Disability Nurse
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to mental health nursing practices
- Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centred care with empathy and professionalism
- Experience working with diverse patient groups, including those with complex mental health needs
- Familiarity with current mental health legislation, policies, and best practices is desirable
Essential requirements
- Current registration as an RMN or RNLD with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Minimum 12 months post registration nursing experience
- The ability to work long days, nights and weekends
- DBS check
